That looks excellent! I don't know if I would have thought to add the "point to where the pain is" part, but it's genius. I hope it works for your Mum.

Thanks Greg! Going to show it to the care home staff first as I've a sneaking suspicion I may have left out some vital topics - they'll know better than I what needs come up regularly. Then when I'm happy with it, I'll laminate it at work and try it out on mum! I found a load of communication charts on Google Image but they were quite disappointing - not very clear and either too simple or too complicated. You never know, I could patent mine - you saw it here first!

Hi Lily,
My name is Ann and I live in the US. I've been following your blog for a while now, since my Dad was diagnosed with dementia. He is still more or less functional, not yet bed-ridden, but he has aphasia at times too, so I'll definitely keep your chart in mind! What a great idea and a lovely design!
