When I started this blog in March 2008, I was steadily losing my grip, trying to cope with mum's (undiagnosed at that point) dementia and full time work. Prozac eventually saved me from total meltdown and mum spent her last couple of years much more settled in a care home. She died, aged 92, on 10 November 2011. Life will be very different from now on............

Oh, whew!
Glad things are going better. When I went to see my mother in Georgia Feb 17th, she was totally disoriented, didn't know who I was..she'd had a stroke and was in atrial fibrillation. After a week of hospitalaztion, she was transferred to extended care. She is still confused most of the time.
Strokes will do that - I'm sure mum's stroke hastened her decline into dementia. Thinking of you, RN x
