When I started this blog in March 2008, I was steadily losing my grip, trying to cope with mum's (undiagnosed at that point) dementia and full time work. Prozac eventually saved me from total meltdown and mum spent her last couple of years much more settled in a care home. She died, aged 92, on 10 November 2011. Life will be very different from now on............

I love it!!
I'd like to make my own, but since I've lived my whole life in the same town, it wouldn't be all that interesting.
What is the river? What a cool idea Lily. I love it!
Sure it would anna, you'd get more detail on your map because you'd be covering a smaller area. Get onto Google Earth and have a go!
It's the Tees, rilera. Glad you liked my little experiment. I'm hoping other people will follow my lead - I'd love to see their life maps!
Very cool, Lily! Was it hard to do?
It was pretty straight forward annie, although if I were to have another go I'd probably make a few changes - take more care over disguising place names and instead of rectangular text boxes, use a speech bubble to get a better pointer to locations. Anyway, just go onto Google Earth or any mapfinder website that gives you a satellite picture of the area you want. Save the screen picture and open it up in paint, then add your comments. Ta-da!
very cool.
Neat - I might give it a go too :)
